EMERGING AUSTRALIAN COMPOSER BASED IN THE NETHERLANDS

IMG_0636 2.jpg

Archie Tulk  (b. 2003)  is an emerging Australian composer and creative artist, currently completing his Bachelor of Music Composition at Royal Conservatoire The Hague in the Netherlands, made possible through a music scholarship granted by The Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust. His compositions reflect a fascination with the intersections of memory, place, and time, frequently threading themes of connection, detachment, and identity into music that is both deeply introspective and evocatively universal. Over the past few years, Archie has had works commissioned and programmed by Residentie Orkest, Roctet, Luminescence Chamber Singers, Sydney Children's Choir, Quatuor Bozzini, Muze van Zuid Festival, Ensemble Klang, The Polish Children’s Fund, The Choir of St Pauls, Phillips Academy Massachusetts String Orchestra, and Sydney Conservatorium Chamber Choir. At the Royal Conservatoire, he is studying under the tutelage of prolific Dutch composers Martijn Padding and Peter Adriaansz.
